Plinth is constructed from standard timber sections organized in a stacked order, balancing chair and side table within a compact, sculptural form. Designed as a temporary seat that also functions as a low table, it offers a passive utility suited to informal use. The dark finish shifts focus from grain to geometry, emphasizing mass, silhouette and the relationship between planes, supports and voids. Built from ordinary construction timber with minimal transformation, the project explores how direct construction logic can produce an object where utility and sculptural presence coexist.
